YOU’VE GOT TO CLEAN YOUR WATER!

water faucetYou might not know that there are a lot of potential hazards in your local drinking water.  The Environmental Working Group recently published a report, “Water Treatment Contaminants: Toxic Trash in Drinking Water“, which found “probable human carcinogens” in every single water system they tested.  They tested 201 municipal systems in 43 states.

Local water is typically fluoridated (fluoride is a known neurotoxin) and chlorinated, leading to extremely toxic disinfection byproducts (DBPs).  Pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, pesticides and more have been found in many water systems.

Chicago, in particular, has found high levels of lead in its water.  This article admits that “Current sampling methods may not be detecting all the lead in Chicago tap water.

Even if your city water passes with flying colors, the local water board might not be testing for all toxins, such as in Chicago.  In addition, even if the water is clean, many towns and cities have old, lead pipes that leach into the drinking water.

I bought a reverse-osmosis (RO) water filtration system for my drinking and cooking water.  It takes out all the heavy metals, chlorine, fluoride, everything.  The problem is that I don’t bathe or shower in it.

For that, you need to get a whole-house filter.  It’s not an RO system, but it does remove most fluoride and chlorine.  Most people don’t know that what goes on you, goes in you.  Even worse, it bypasses the liver, leading to increased toxicity.

For those in the Fairfield County, CT  area, I recommend the Clean Water Man.  He installs both of these systems and more.  He will give you a 10% discount, but only if you tell him that I sent you.
