Naturopaths strive to deal with underlying causes and are clinically trained in a variety of natural therapies, including:
- Physical therapy
- Botanical medicine
Individualized treatment is prescribed after careful analysis of the patient’s history, including nutrition, stress, environment and psychological factors.
Physical examinations and laboratory tests are performed not only to diagnose illness, but also to determine the health of the organ systems.
Through improved lifestyle education coupled with nourishing balancing, cleansing and repairing of the body, a naturopath can unleash the healing power of nature in the body.
Naturopathic medicine can and has been used to recover children from symptoms of:
- Sensory Processing Disorder
- Learning disabilities
Dr. Schweitzer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences.
This was followed by post-graduate research at McGill University, Montreal, in the fields of immunology and endocrine pathophysiology.
He received his doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND), after a 4-year program from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Schweitzer is versed in clinical research, scientific medicine, German biological medicine, and energy medicine.
He also worked in the lab that pioneered prostaglandin research and developed a nutraceutical that is used throughout the world to this day: Evening Primrose Oil.
